Sometimes a season in life can be a trial, or a experience to see how far we can go.
We have walked the road of health issues multiple times in our marriage and each one has been unique. Today in a moment of taking a breath, I thought about just how different this experience is compared to before having children and even before marriage when I walked along- side family and friends fighting a battle of illness.
Each last experience has prepared me for today. I know we’ll make it through today becuase we overcame yesterday.
But none of it. Not one day, not one illness, not one battle could’ve been won without God’s comforting, strengthening, and loving hand.
Coming on Tuesdays, join me as we study how to be a caretaker, how to fight the battles, see the needs, and overcome the traumas by focusing first on God, second on yourself, and third on those being affected directly and indirectly by a chronic or serious illness.
Ministries and Bible Study
Over 150 times in Matthew alone, the word “Go” was spoken by Christ. His ministry was built around the command to literally get up and work. To literally go out into the world and risk it all. To literally make the choice to live for God while risking death.
And we as Americans sit in out cozy, theather style churches with gourmet coffee and donuts. Our biggest risk is that we didnt put enough creamer in those coffees or that the praise band will break out a new song.
We have stopped going, stopped risking, stopped living. No wonder He turned His back on us. No wonder we are loosing our freedoms. No wonder it may already be too late!
“So what if he remain until I return?”“A-Crux of Dragons”
John 21:22 is the opening line of this saga, introducing us to a very old John. A John that has seen the ministry, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus and all that has happened since. He now lives in a time where Earth is Myth, humanity finally finds they are not alone in Creation, and the visions he once had in exile are beginning to come true before his own eyes at last!
Christmas Prelude, a nine week buildup to perhaps something totally crazy starting on October 27th with “God’s Agony and Pain”.
Ending the week leading up to Christmas, Prelude will lead into a 52 week fictional retelling of the Christmas Story centered around the manger but also reaching out among the stars and into the realms of Heaven and Hell as well.
Five years in and I’m still learning about this thing called Foster Care. What it is. What we do. What they need.
It doesn’t help that the pandemic changed the rules and turned everything on its head, making the ministry of foster care all but impossible.
But for all the challenges we face, we know that sometimes we find victory in the end.
Join me as we talk about Foster Care and the ministry I believe it can be. Let’s end the myths, encourage more love, and help families find the path to healing.
You’ll note, as you visit our site, that we have chosen not to run traditional ads through Google AdSense or one of the many other options available. We have chosen this path because we want to control what you see when you visit our site so that you never have to worry about who’s looking over your shoulder.
Instead we have decided to find this site in two ways: First through donations which can be done, for now, through Paypal linked to the right. And secondly through our Merchandise featured below.
Funds raised will help us continue to fund this website and domain and love our foster children and their families as we host and care for foster children each day.
Thank you for your support, your prayers, and your love!
